Psalms 23

Open Word Bible

A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I will never be in need. He settles me down in meadows of fresh green grass; he leads me gently to water where I can rest. He brings back my life and leads me in the tracks of what is right, true to his name. Even if my path goes down through a valley of deepest darkness, I will not be afraid of any harm, because you are there with me; your rod and your staff give me courage. You spread a meal before me while my enemies look on; you refresh my head with oil, and my cup is full to the brim. Goodness and loyal love will surely chase after me every day I live, and I will come home to the house of the LORD for all my days to come.
