Psalms 11

Open Word Bible

For the music director. Of David. I have taken refuge in the LORD. How can you say to me, “Escape to the hills like a bird! Look, the wicked have their bows bent and their arrows set on the string, ready to shoot under cover of darkness at those whose hearts are right. If the very pillars that hold things up are pulled down, what can the righteous accomplish?” The LORD is in his holy temple; the throne of the LORD is in heaven. His eyes watch; his gaze examines every human being. The LORD tests the righteous, but he hates with all his being the wicked and those who love violence. On the wicked he will rain down snares; fire, burning sulfur and a scorching wind will be the cup they are given. For the LORD is righteous and loves what is right; those who are upright will look on his face.
