Psalms 8
Open Word Bible
LORD, our Lord, how glorious is your name across the whole earth! Your splendor reaches higher than the heavens. Out of the mouths of children and babies at the breast you have built a stronghold against your foes, to silence the enemy and the one bent on revenge. When I look up at your heavens, which your fingers made, at the moon and stars you have fixed in their places, what are human beings, that you keep them in mind, mere mortals, that you look after them? You made them only a little less than God and set a crown of glory and honor on them. You made them rulers over all that your hands have made; you put everything under their feet: sheep and cattle, all of them, and the wild animals too, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, and everything that travels the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord, how glorious is your name across the whole earth!
