Psalms 75

Open Word Bible

We thank you, God, we thank you; your name is close to us, and people speak of the marvels you have done. “When the time I have fixed has come, I will judge with fairness. The earth and everyone on it may sway and melt, but I have set its pillars firm. Selah I tell the proud, ‘Stop your boasting,’ and the wicked, ‘Do not toss your horn high.’ Do not raise your horn against the heights, or talk with a stiff and insolent neck.” For it is not from the east or the west, nor from the desert, that a person is raised up, but God is the judge: he lays one person low and lifts another up. For the LORD holds a cup in his hand, and the wine in it foams, richly spiced; he pours from it, and every wicked person on earth will have to drain it, dregs and all. But I will never stop telling of it; I will make music to the God of Jacob. I will hack off every horn the wicked raise, but those who do right will have their horns lifted high.
