Psalms 12
Open Word Bible
Save us, LORD! The faithful are no more; no one you can trust is left among humankind. People tell each other lies; their lips are smooth with flattery, their hearts are divided. May the LORD cut off every flattering lip and every tongue that boasts so loudly, those who say, “Our tongues will win the day; our lips are our own. Who can be master over us?” “The poor are being robbed and the needy are groaning, so now I will get up,” says the LORD. “I will bring them to the safety they long for.” The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times over. You, LORD, will watch over them; you will protect each of them from this generation forever. On every side the wicked prowl, while what is vile is prized among people.
