Psalms 57

Open Word Bible

Show me grace, God, show me grace, for I have made you my refuge; I will shelter under the shadow of your wings until the time of ruin is over. I call on God Most High, the God who carries out his plan for me. He will reach down from heaven and rescue me, and disgrace the one who hounds me; God will send forth his loyal love and his faithfulness. Selah I am surrounded by lions; I must lie down among people who devour like beasts. Their teeth are spear points and arrows, their tongues a sharpened sword. God, be lifted high above the heavens; let your glory spread over all the earth. They laid a net for my steps, and I sank down in despair; they hollowed out a pit ahead of me, and into it they fell. Selah My heart is firm, God, my heart is firm; I will sing and play songs of praise. Rouse yourself, my soul! Come awake, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. Lord, I will thank you before all peoples; I will sing your praise in every nation. For your loyal love towers up to the heavens, and your faithfulness rises to the clouds. God, be lifted high above the heavens; let your glory spread over all the earth.
