Psalms 112
Open Word Bible
Praise the LORD! How blessed are all who fear the LORD, whose great delight is in his commands! Their descendants will be powerful in the land, for the family of the upright is blessed. Their houses are full of wealth and riches, and their righteousness stands for all time. When darkness falls, a light shines out for the upright: they are gracious, full of compassion, and righteous. Things go well for people who are kind and lend to others, and who handle their dealings with justice. They will never be overthrown; the righteous will be remembered for all time. Bad news does not frighten them; their hearts stand firm because they trust in the LORD. Their hearts are held steady and they will not be afraid, until they see what becomes of their enemies. They have given generously, spreading their gifts among the needy; their righteousness stands for all time, and their strength will rise in honor. The wicked see it and are galled; they grind their teeth and melt away; what the wicked long for is lost.
