Psalms 142

Open Word Bible

I call out loud to the LORD; I raise my voice to the LORD, pleading for mercy. I spill out my complaint in front of him; I tell him all about my distress. When my spirit is fading within me, you are the one who knows my path. Along the road I travel they have hidden a trap for me. Look to my right and see: there is no one who knows me. Every way of escape is gone; nobody looks out for me. I cry out to you, LORD. I say, “You are my shelter, all I have in the land of the living.” Pay heed to my cry, because I am in the depths. Rescue me from those who hunt me, since they are stronger than I am. Lead me out of this prison, so that I may thank your name. Then the righteous will crowd around me, because you will treat me with goodness.
