Psalms 127
Open Word Bible
A song of ascents. Of Solomon. If the LORD does not build the house, the work of its builders comes to nothing. If the LORD does not guard the city, the watchman’s sleepless night is wasted. It does you no good to get up early and stay up late, eating food earned by anxious work; he gives sleep to the one he loves. Children are a gift handed down from the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Children born to the young are like arrows in a fighter’s hand. How blessed is the one who has a quiver filled with them! They will not be disgraced when they argue with enemies at the city gate.
