This is what I mean: walk by the Spirit, and you will never carry out what the flesh desires.

Dear friends, you live here as outsiders and temporary residents. So I urge you to keep away from the cravings of the flesh, for they fight against your soul.
Those who sow into their own flesh will gather a harvest of decay from the flesh; those who sow into the Spirit will gather from the Spirit a harvest of eternal life.
So do not let sin reign as king in your mortal body, making you obey its desires.
So then, brothers and sisters, we are under an obligation, but not to the flesh, to live as the flesh dictates.
I am no longer the one who lives; Christ lives in me. Whatever life I still have in the flesh is a life lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and handed himself over for my sake.
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve God’s law with my mind, but the law of sin with my flesh.
