Who is going to condemn them? Christ is the one who died; still more, he was raised, and he is at the right hand of God, where he pleads on our behalf.

So then, those who are in Christ Jesus now face no sentence of condemnation.

The one who will declare me in the right is close at hand. Who will take me to court? Let us stand up side by side. Who has a case against me? Let him step forward and face me. Yes, the Lord GOD stands by me; who then can pronounce me guilty? All of them will fall apart like worn-out clothes, and the moth will devour them.

“How happy are those whose wrongs are forgiven, whose sins are covered over! How happy is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them!”

So now that we have been declared righteous by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet they are declared righteous as a free gift, by his grace, through the redemption found in Christ Jesus.

Truly, truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes the one who sent me has eternal life. Such a person does not come under condemnation, but has already moved out of death into life.

You were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, but God made you alive together with him. He forgave us all our trespasses. He wiped out the bond of debt, with its decrees, that was written against us and stood opposed to us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.

Since we have now been declared righteous by his blood, it is all the more certain that we will be saved through him from God’s wrath.
