13 Bible Verses About The Chief Cornerstone

For this is what Scripture says: “See, I am placing in Zion a stone, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and no one who believes in him will ever be put to shame.”

The stone the builders cast aside is now the stone at the head of the corner.

So the Lord GOD says this: Look, I have laid a stone in Zion as its foundation: a stone proven by testing, a valuable cornerstone, set deep and secure. The one who trusts will not rush in panic.

Jesus said to them, “Did you never read this in the Scriptures: ‘The very stone the builders turned down has become the cornerstone. The Lord has brought this about, and we look on it with wonder’?

He is the stone that you builders scorned as worthless, and he has become the head of the corner.

In him all the building, as it is fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you also are being built up with the others into a home for God, who lives there by the Spirit.

Have you not even read this passage of Scripture: ‘The stone that the builders threw away as useless has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, and we look on it with wonder’?”

So the honor belongs to you who believe. But for those who do not believe, “The very stone the builders rejected has become the main cornerstone,”

Jesus looked straight at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of the words that are written, ‘The stone the builders discarded has become the main stone at the corner’?

For there is no other foundation anyone can lay; the one already in place is Jesus Christ.

as it is written, “See, I am setting in Zion a stone to stumble on, a rock that makes them fall, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

You come to him, the living stone that people rejected as worthless but God chose and prizes.
