Numbers 28
Open Word Bible
The LORD spoke to Moses. He said, “Command the Israelites and tell them: ‘Be careful to present to me at its appointed time my offering, my food, given as my food offerings, a soothing aroma to me.’ Tell them: ‘Each day you are to present to the LORD, as a food offering, two year-old male lambs without defect. This is the regular burnt offering. One lamb is to be offered in the morning, and the other as evening comes on. The grain offering for each lamb is to be about 2 quarts of fine flour mixed with about a quart of pressed olive oil. It is the regular burnt offering, as it was offered at Mount Sinai: a soothing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. Its drink offering is to be about a quart for each lamb. In the holy place pour out the drink offering of strong drink to the LORD. The second lamb you are to offer as evening comes on, with a grain offering and a drink offering like those of the morning: a food offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD.
On the Sabbath day there are to be two year-old male lambs without defect, with about 4 quarts of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and its drink offering, as the burnt offering of each Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.
Each month, on its first day, you are to bring the LORD a burnt offering: two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs in their first year, every one of them without defect. The grain offering for each bull is to be about 6 quarts of fine flour mixed with oil, and for the ram about 4 quarts of fine flour mixed with oil, and for each lamb about 2 quarts of fine flour mixed with oil. This is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. The wine for their drink offerings is to be about 2 quarts with each bull, about 1 1/4 quarts with the ram and about a quart with each lamb. This is the burnt offering for the new moon, month after month through the year. Also one male goat is to be offered to the LORD as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, the Passover is kept for the LORD. A festival is held on the fifteenth day of this month, and for seven days the bread eaten is to be made without yeast. The first day is to be a holy assembly, when you do none of your ordinary work. You are to bring the LORD a food offering, a burnt offering made up of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs in their first year. See that they are without defect. With them offer a grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil: about 6 quarts for each bull and about 4 quarts for the ram. For each of the seven lambs offer about 2 quarts. Also offer one male goat as a sin offering, to make atonement for you. All this is to be offered besides the morning burnt offering, which belongs to the regular burnt offering. Offer this food each day for seven days as a food offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD. It is added to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering. The seventh day is to be a holy assembly for you, when you do none of your ordinary work.
The day of firstfruits, when you bring the LORD a grain offering from the new crop at your Festival of Weeks, is to be a holy assembly for you. Do none of your ordinary work. You are to present a burnt offering, a soothing aroma to the LORD, of two young bulls, one ram and seven year-old male lambs, with their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil: about 6 quarts for each bull, about 4 quarts for the ram, and about 2 quarts for each of the seven lambs, and one male goat to make atonement for you. Bring all these besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings with them. The animals must be without defect.
