Isaiah
Judgment and comfort — the prophet of the holy One and the suffering servant.
About Isaiah
Isaiah spans warnings to Judah and the nations, the vision of God in the temple, and long passages of consolation for a people facing exile. Its later chapters contain the servant songs, including the fourth, which describes one wounded for the transgressions of others — the passage the New Testament returns to most often. Few books hold judgment and comfort together so closely.
