Common questions

What did Jesus say about worry?

In Matthew 6:25–34 Jesus tells us not to worry about food, clothing, or tomorrow, because our heavenly Father knows what we need. He invites us to “seek first God’s Kingdom,” trusting that what we need will be provided.

Is worrying a sin?

The Bible treats worry as a lack of trust to be released rather than a mark of condemnation. Jesus gently says, “Don’t be anxious for your life” (Matthew 6:25), pointing to the Father’s care for the birds and the lilies as reason to rest.

How can I stop worrying?

Scripture replaces worry with prayer and trust — cast your cares on God (1 Peter 5:7) and take one day at a time (Matthew 6:34). Hiding a verse in your heart gives you something true to return to when worry rises.
