15 Bible Verses About The Church

So you are no longer strangers and resident foreigners. You are citizens together with God’s holy people, and you belong to God’s household. You have been built on the apostles and prophets as your foundation, and the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

You are Christ’s body, and each of you individually is one of its parts.

They gave themselves fully to the apostles’ teaching and to the shared life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.

He is also the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the first to be born from among the dead, so that he would come to hold first place in everything.

You have approached a judge who is God of all, and the spirits of righteous people who have been made perfect,

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers. He gave them to equip God’s holy people for the work of serving, so that the body of Christ would be built up, until all of us arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God. Then we will be a mature adult, grown to the full measure of the stature that belongs to the fullness of Christ.

In the same way, many as we are, we are one body in Christ, and each of us is a part that belongs to all the others.

Let us be glad and rejoice greatly and give him the glory, for the Lamb’s wedding has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

God has put all things under the feet of Christ, and has given him to the church to be head over all things. The church is his body. It is his fullness, filled by him who fills everything in every place and every way.
