11 Bible Verses About Body of Christ

A body is a single whole, and yet it has many parts; all its parts, many as they are, make up one body. It is the same with Christ.

We have many parts in a single body, and the parts do not all have the same task. In the same way, many as we are, we are one body in Christ, and each of us is a part that belongs to all the others.

Instead, as we speak the truth in love, we must grow in every respect into him, the head, Christ. From him the whole body is joined and held together by every ligament that supplies it. As each part does its own work, the body grows and builds itself up in love.

But as things are, God has arranged each and every part in the body as he saw fit.

After all, a body does not consist of one part. It has many.

As it is, the parts are many, but the body is one. So the eye cannot tell the hand, “I can do without you,” and the head cannot tell the feet, “I can do without you.”

From him the whole body is joined and held together by every ligament that supplies it. As each part does its own work, the body grows and builds itself up in love.

so that the body would not be split apart, but its parts would all care for one another alike.

We have gifts that differ, according to the grace given to us. If someone’s gift is prophecy, they should prophesy in proportion to their faith.

He is also the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the first to be born from among the dead, so that he would come to hold first place in everything.
