Revelation
Visions given to John on Patmos — judgment, worship, and all things made new.
About Revelation
Revelation opens with letters to seven churches in Asia, each commended, corrected, or both. What follows is a sequence of visions in the apocalyptic style — seals, trumpets and bowls, beasts and a great city — written to churches under pressure from imperial power. Christians have read the imagery in several ways, but the direction is not disputed: God reigns, the Lamb has conquered, and the end is a new heaven and earth where God dwells with his people and every tear is wiped away.
