Ezekiel 46
Open Word Bible
the Lord GOD says this: The gate of the inner court that faces east is to stay shut during the six working days, but it is to be opened on the Sabbath and at the new moon. The prince is to come in from outside through the porch of the gate and stand by the doorpost of the gate. The priests are to offer his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he is to bow down in worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out. But the gate is not to be shut until evening. The people of the land are to bow down in worship before the LORD at the entrance of that gate on the Sabbaths and the new moons. The burnt offering that the prince offers to the LORD on the Sabbath day is to be six lambs without defect and a ram without defect, with a grain offering of about 6 gallons for the ram, and for the lambs as much as he chooses to give, with about a gallon of oil for each ephah. On the day of the new moon he is to offer a young bull without defect, and six lambs and a ram, all without defect. He is to provide a grain offering of about 6 gallons with the bull and about 6 gallons with the ram, and with the lambs as much as he can, together with about a gallon of oil for each ephah. When the prince enters, he is to come in through the porch of the gate and go out the same way. At the appointed festivals, when the people of the land come before the LORD, those who come in by the north gate to worship are to go out by the south gate, and those who come in by the south gate are to go out by the north gate. No one is to go back through the gate by which they came in; each is to go straight out the opposite side. The prince is to be among them, coming in when they come in and going out when they go out. At the festivals and the appointed feasts the grain offering is to be about 6 gallons with a bull and about 6 gallons with a ram, and with the lambs as much as he chooses to give, together with about a gallon of oil for each ephah.
When the prince provides a freewill offering to the LORD, whether a burnt offering or peace offerings, the gate facing east is to be opened for him, and he is to present his burnt offering or his peace offerings just as on the Sabbath day. When he goes out, the gate is to be shut behind him. Every day you are to provide a lamb a year old without defect as a burnt offering to the LORD; you are to provide it morning after morning. With it you are to provide a grain offering every morning: about a gallon of flour and about 1 1/4 quarts of oil to moisten the fine flour. This grain offering to the LORD is a lasting statute, to be kept continually. So the lamb, the grain offering and the oil are to be provided every morning as a regular burnt offering.
the Lord GOD says this: If the prince makes a gift of land to any of his sons, it will become part of the son’s inheritance. It will belong to his sons as their property by inheritance. But if he makes one of his servants a gift from his inheritance, the servant may keep it until the year of release. Then it will go back to the prince. His inheritance belongs to his sons alone. The prince must not take any of the people’s inheritance, driving them off their property. He is to give his sons their inheritance out of what he himself owns, so that none of my people will be scattered from their property.” Then the man led me through the entrance beside the gate to the priests’ holy rooms facing north, and there I saw a place at the far western end.
He said to me, “This is the place where the priests are to boil the guilt offering and the sin offering and bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out into the outer court and pass on holiness to the people.” Then he brought me out into the outer court and took me around to each of its four corners. In each corner of the court there was another small court. In the four corners of the court were enclosed courts, about 70 feet long and about 52 1/2 feet wide. All four corner courts were the same size. Around the inside of each of the four courts ran a ledge of stone, with places for cooking built under the ledges all around. He said to me, “These are the kitchens where those who serve in the temple are to boil the people’s sacrifices.”
