Bible Verses About The Fruit & Gifts of the Spirit
The Spirit grows his fruit in us — love, joy, peace, patience — and gives gifts to build up the body of Christ. Where the Spirit works, character is changed and the church is strengthened. These verses invite you to keep in step with the Spirit and serve in his power.
But the fruit the Spirit produces is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. No law stands against things like these.
Each person is given a way in which the Spirit is openly at work, and it is given for the good of all.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and sound judgment.
Each of you has received a gift; use it to serve one another, as good managers of the richly varied grace of God.
As for you, you received an anointing from him, and that anointing remains in you; you have no need for anyone to teach you. Rather, his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true and not a lie. So, just as the anointing has taught you, remain in him.
Gifts are given out in different ways, but it is the same Spirit who gives them.
As things are, then, three things last: faith, hope and love. And of these three, the greatest is love.
Strive for love, and set your hearts on spiritual gifts, most of all on prophesying.
That is why I remind you to stir up into flame the gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.
A body is a single whole, and yet it has many parts; all its parts, many as they are, make up one body. It is the same with Christ.
