Brothers and sisters, I do not count myself as having taken hold of it. My single aim is this: I put out of mind what is behind me and stretch out for what is in front of me,

So then, since we too have so vast a cloud of witnesses all around us, let us strip off every burden, and the sin that wraps itself around us so readily, and let us run the race laid out ahead of us, and run it with endurance. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer who leads the way in faith and brings it to perfection. For the sake of the joy that lay ahead of him, he endured a cross and counted its shame as nothing, and he has taken his seat at the right hand of God’s throne.

Do you not know that every runner in the stadium races, yet only one is given the prize? Run like that one, so as to win it.

I do not mean that I already have all this, or that I have already been made perfect. But I keep pursuing it, trying to take hold of it, because Christ has taken hold of me.

The righteous hold to their way, and those with clean hands grow stronger and stronger.

But the road the righteous walk is like the light at daybreak, shining brighter and brighter until it is broad day.
