10 Bible Verses About Persecution

Blessed are those who suffer persecution for the sake of righteousness: the kingdom of heaven is theirs. You are blessed when people abuse you and persecute you and spread all sorts of evil lies about you for my sake.

If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you are blessed, since the Spirit of glory, the very Spirit of God, rests on you.

Who can tear us away from the love of Christ? Trouble, or anguish, or persecution? Hunger, or lack of clothing, or danger, or the sword? As it is written, “On your account we are being killed the whole day through; we are looked on as sheep for the butcher.” But in all of this we are winning, and winning by far, through the one who loved us.

Remember the word I spoke to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you too. If they have kept my word, they will keep yours too.

In every way we are under pressure, but not cornered; we are at a loss, but not utterly at a loss; we are hunted, but not deserted; we are thrown down, but not destroyed.

But suppose you do suffer because of righteousness: even then you are blessed. Do not be afraid of what they threaten, and do not be shaken.

As they went out from the council, the apostles were glad: they had been found worthy to bear shame for the sake of the Name.

But I tell you: love your enemies, and pray for the people who persecute you,

If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.
