What Proverbs 3:5-6 means
This is one of the Bible’s clearest maps for decision-making. It contrasts two sources of confidence: our own limited understanding, and the Lord who sees everything. “With all your heart” means holding nothing back — trusting him even where it doesn’t yet make sense.
The pattern is trust, then acknowledge him “in all your ways,” then watch him direct the path. It is not a promise that the road will be easy, but that it will be straight — leading somewhere good under his guidance. A perfect verse to memorise for seasons of choosing.
