What Proverbs 3:5-6 means
This is one of the Bible’s clearest maps for decision-making. It contrasts two sources of confidence: our own limited understanding, and the Lord who sees everything. “With your whole heart” means holding nothing back — trusting him even where it doesn’t yet make sense.
The pattern is trust, then keep him in mind “in everything you do,” then watch him direct the path. It is not a promise that the road will be easy, but that it will be straight — leading somewhere good under his guidance. A perfect verse to memorise for seasons of choosing.
