Whatever you are doing, put your whole self into the work, as for the Lord and not for people,

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Those who put their trust in riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like green leaves.

Whoever is kind to the poor is lending to the LORD, and he will pay them back for what they have done.

The rich lord it over the poor, and whoever borrows becomes the lender’s slave.

Each of you should give the amount you have settled on in your own heart, not with regret and not because you feel you must. God loves a giver who gives gladly.

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there will be food in my house. Put me to the test in this, says the LORD of Armies, and see if I do not open the windows of heaven for you and pour out on you a blessing until you have more than enough.

I do not say this because I am going short. However things stand with me, I have learned to be content.

Hard workers will end up in charge, but the lazy will be made to work for others.

Do not pile up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and rust ruin them and thieves dig through walls and steal them. Instead, pile up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where no moth or rust can ruin them and no thief can dig through and steal.

You lazy one, go and look at the ant; watch how it lives, and learn wisdom.

Money that comes easily soon dwindles, but whoever gathers it bit by bit makes it grow.

Now what is looked for in household managers is this: that each one proves trustworthy.

Above all, seek the kingdom and his righteousness, and you will be given all these things as well.
