Luke
An ordered account for Theophilus, attentive to the poor and the outsider.
About Luke
Luke states his method at the outset: careful investigation, set down in order. His gospel gives the fullest birth narrative, including Mary’s song, and preserves parables found nowhere else — the good Samaritan, the prodigal son, the rich man and Lazarus. Throughout, he notices those on the margins: women, Samaritans, tax collectors and the poor. It is volume one of a two-part work continued in Acts.
