What Ephesians 6:11 means
Paul closes a letter about unity and everyday conduct with a picture of conflict. The armour is *God’s*, not ours — every piece described afterwards is something he supplies rather than something we generate.
The stated goal is modest and realistic: to be able to *stand*. Not to advance gloriously or win dramatically, but to still be on your feet afterwards. And the opposition is described as schemes — strategy rather than brute force, which is why preparation matters.
