Faith & Trust

Faith takes God at his word and leans the whole weight of life on him. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. These verses strengthen a confident, resting trust in a faithful God.

Faith — Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.

Trust in God — Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Dependence on God — John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Confidence in God — Philippians 1:6

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Walking by Faith — 2 Corinthians 5:7

for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Faith Like a Child — Matthew 18:3

and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Faith Without Works Is Dead — James 2:17

Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

The Shield of Faith — Ephesians 6:16

above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

Faith Moves Mountains — Matthew 17:20

He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Believing Without Seeing — John 20:29

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.”

Faith Comes by Hearing — Romans 10:17

So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Just Shall Live by Faith — Habakkuk 2:4

Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.

Lord, Increase Our Faith — Luke 17:5

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
