Jesus answered him, “’Love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul, and with your whole mind.’ This command is the great one, the first of all. A second command is of the same kind: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’
You are to love the LORD your God with your whole heart, with your whole being, and with all your strength.
And you are to love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind and your whole strength.’
Do not pay back any of your own people with revenge, and do not keep holding a grudge against them. Instead, love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
Take the commandments “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet”: these, and whatever other commandment there is, are gathered up in this one saying: “You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
The whole of the law, and the prophets as well, hangs on these two commands.”

The whole law comes to its fullness in one sentence: “You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
And this is the command we have received from him: the one who loves God is to love a brother or sister as well.
If you love me, you will keep the commandments I have given you.
But take great care to carry out the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD laid on you: love the LORD your God, walk in all his ways, keep his commandments, hold fast to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.”
