And what you heard from me before many witnesses, pass on to trustworthy people who will be able to teach others as well.
How, then, are they to call on him if they have not believed in him? And how are they to believe in him if they have never heard him? And how are they to hear without someone proclaiming? And how are people to proclaim it unless they are sent? As it is written, “How lovely are the feet of those who bring the good news of good things!”
Whoever has believed and been baptized will be saved; anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why stand there gazing up at the sky? This Jesus has been taken up from you into heaven, and he will come in the very way you saw him leave for heaven.”
So we are ambassadors who speak for Christ, and it is God himself who makes his appeal through us. Speaking for Christ, we plead with you: be reconciled to God.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking, “Whom am I to send? Who will go on our behalf?” I answered, “I am ready. Send me.”
