Bible Verses About Faith and Trust to Memorize

Faith is not a feeling you summon; it is a direction you face. And like any direction, it is easiest to hold when a few fixed marks are already memorized — verses you can set your eyes on when the ground feels unsure. These are the ones worth having by heart, so that trusting God is less a thing you work up and more a thing you turn to.

They are gathered by what faith is, where it rests, how it moves, and how it holds through trial. Learn them one at a time, and you are not collecting verses so much as wearing a path you can walk in the dark.

What faith is

• Hebrews 11:1 — “the substance of things hoped for.” The definition itself, worth having word-for-word.
• Hebrews 11:6 — without faith it is impossible to please Him.
• 2 Corinthians 5:7 — “we walk by faith, not by sight.”
• Romans 10:17 — faith comes by hearing the word of God — one more reason to hide it in the heart.

Where trust rests

• Proverbs 3:5–6 — trust with all your heart; He directs the path. The anchor verse of the whole theme.
• Psalm 37:5 — commit your way; trust; He will act.
• Psalm 9:10 — they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee.

Faith that moves

• Mark 9:23 — “all things are possible to him that believeth.”
• Matthew 17:20 — faith as a grain of mustard seed.
• Mark 11:24 — believe that you receive, and you shall have.
• James 2:17 — faith without works is dead; the faith that has hands.

Faith through trial

• James 1:2–3 — the testing of your faith works patience.
• 1 Peter 1:7 — faith more precious than gold, tried in fire.
• Romans 5:1 — being justified by faith, we have peace with God.
• 2 Corinthians 4:18 — look not at the things seen, but the unseen.
