9 Bible Verses About Greatness in the Kingdom
9 Bible verses about Greatness in the Kingdom to read, reflect on, and commit to memory.
With you it must be different. If any of you wants to become great, that one must serve the rest of you.
Whoever is greatest among you will be the one who serves you.
He sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of everyone and the servant of everyone.”
With you it must not be this way. Instead, the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the one in charge like the one who waits on others.
So the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is anyone who takes a low place, as this child does.
Then he said, “Truly I tell you, if you do not turn around and become like children, you will not get into the kingdom of heaven at all.
Then he said to them, “Anyone who receives this child in my name is receiving me. And anyone who receives me is receiving the one who sent me. For whoever is least among all of you, that is the one who is great.”
And if any of you wants to be first, that one must be your slave.
That is not how it is among you. Instead, whoever among you wants to become great must be your servant, and whoever among you wants to be first must serve everyone as a slave.
