About Zechariah
Zechariah worked alongside Haggai to encourage the rebuilding, but his book reaches much further. Eight night visions in the opening chapters give way to oracles about the nations and the future of Jerusalem, including a king coming righteous and humble on a donkey, and one who is pierced and mourned. The New Testament draws on it heavily in the passion narratives.
