About Jude
Jude intended to write about salvation but changed course to address people who had slipped into the church and turned grace into licence. He draws on vivid examples from Israel’s history and from Jewish tradition to describe them, and calls readers to build themselves up, pray in the Spirit, and show mercy to the wavering. The closing doxology, praising the one able to keep them from stumbling, is among the best known in Scripture.
