Jeremiah
The prophet who watched Jerusalem fall, and promised a new covenant.
About Jeremiah
Jeremiah preached for forty years to a people who would not listen, through the last kings of Judah and into the Babylonian siege. His book mixes oracles, sermons, biography and personal complaint — he is candid with God about the cost of his calling. Amid the warnings come some of Scripture’s most hopeful promises: plans for a future, and a covenant written on the heart rather than on stone.
