Colossians 4
Open Word Bible
Masters, give your slaves what is right and fair, because you know that you too have a Master in heaven.
Keep on praying, and stay alert as you pray, giving thanks. Pray for us too, that God will open a door for our message, so that we can tell the mystery of Christ, which is why I am in chains. Pray that I may make it clear, as I ought to.
Live wisely with those outside the church, making the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation always be gracious and seasoned with salt, so that you know how to answer each person.
Tychicus will tell you all my news. He is a dear brother, a faithful servant and a fellow slave in the Lord. I am sending him to you for this very reason, so that you may know how we are and so that he may encourage your hearts. He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of your own. They will tell you everything that is happening here.
Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. You have had instructions about him: if he comes to you, make him welcome. Jesus who is called Justus greets you too. Of all the Jewish believers, these are the only ones working with me for the kingdom of God, and they have been a great comfort to me. Epaphras, one of your own and a servant of Christ, sends you greetings. He always wrestles for you in his prayers, asking that you will stand firm, mature and fully sure of everything God wills. I can vouch for him that he works hard for you and for the believers in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, sends you greetings, and so does Demas. Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house. When this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church at Laodicea, and that you in turn read the letter that comes from Laodicea. And tell Archippus, “Make sure you carry out fully the ministry you received in the Lord.”
I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember that I am in chains. Grace be with you.
