About Acts
Acts continues Luke’s account, tracing the church from Pentecost outward. The early chapters centre on Jerusalem and Peter; from chapter thirteen the focus shifts to Paul’s journeys across the Roman world. Along the way the church works out hard questions — chiefly whether Gentiles must become Jews to follow Jesus. The book ends with Paul preaching in Rome under guard, the mission unfinished and unhindered.
